Guiding Principle

Unconventional cases are as the word would suggest unconventional, and don't follow much of a fixed pattern. The meat of these cases is in bringing structure to an inherently unstructured space, and laying down a framework to navigate it. In doing so, the key areas for focus are:
- Understand what the objective is, and create a structure out of it. This is by far the most important part of the case
- Keep bringing structure to subsequent steps, which will also be relatively unstructured on their own
- Leading the discussion and seeking guidance, to the point of creative problem solving
Rather than discussing the nitty-gritties much further, looking at an example case, and then solving more on your own would help. Beyond that you can have a look at the set of frameworks later on to spark a little more thought on useful structures to solve unconventional cases.

Example

A sample market entry case has been worked out in this ppt file.
